Buffalo nullified this trade about 4 weeks ago. In no way shape or form would this be fair. Based on Risto being younger and a Buffalo center piece and tanev not so much.

Yes please, if you're looking at bad defenseman you should go after zaitsev too. Maybe even alzner in montreal to really round out the pairings

I disagree Ristolainen being a center piece. He can't play defense. That said the Sabre s won't trade him for another defenseman. They need scoring. Especially with Skinner returning to earth...
