I really don't see how beating Toronto or not would effect the merit of this mock. Krug doesn't waive to go to Edm, so you F'd that one up. Paid too much to dump Backes too as JFK by himself is enough.

JFK isn't enough. Backes' contract is one of the worst in the league.

Thats is going to be a hard contract to dump . backes is a shadow of his former . minnesota has cap problems and a few longterm bad contracts to aging players i can not see them doing this .

It shouldnt be a problem to move Backes to a team needing to get to the cap floor. Im thinking a similar situation to Orpik where Backes is traded to a team like OTT or NJ (hes not earning very much real $) and getting bought out, then resigning with the Bs

It's not nearly that bad. He's only owed 5M after his bonus is paid. 2.5M per year in real money isn't a bad contract bro.

Your wrong like the guy you "liked" Backes is only owed 5M over 2 years in real money after his Bonus is paid out. Think you'll find much better for 2.5M per year? That can't even get you someone like Ryan Strome lmao.

Regardless, that cap hit hurts any team.

It only hurts if they were going to use it on something else lmao. How do people think having a higher cap hurts a team if they aren't going to be a playoff team and aren't going to buy rentals..... thats probably one of the dumbest misconceptions on here. The "REAL MONEY" is what counts because it actually has to be paid. If your team isn't in the market for a rental then you don't need room at the deadline lmao.

It doesn't change the fact that no one wants that contract, and BOS needs to pay big bucks to get rid of him.

Also do you really think MIN is on that 8-team trade list? My guess is that the teams in there are cup contenders and none of them will take him, regardless his actual salary might be lower.

before you say stupid things that are not true take the time to check your facts . his cap hit stays at 6 mil. his actually salary for the next two years is 4m per year . so yes that is to much for a guy who is injury prone that has scored 20 goals in the last two nhl seasons . and cant skate or keep up to the pace of todays nhl . he was not even dressed for the first game of the playoffs a healthy scratch . and yes a 6 mil cap hit and 4 mil in actual salary is a stupid amount of money for a player who has become an overpaid 4 th liner with no speed . guys who play on the fourth line and score 7 goals like he scored this year are paid 1 mil or less . all stats and salary numbers are courtesy of capgeek . like I said take your time before you shoot your mouth off

So how many games was BACKES SCRATCHED SO FAR IN THE PLAYOFFS 6 times , in the 5 games he has played he has 2 assists and 0 shots on goal and has averaged just over 10 minutes a game do you still think this is an easy contract to move ???

I think it's a lot more easy than if he costed 6M each year. People aren't realizing that fact, they just assume he's being paid the same amount as his hit. 2 assists in 5 games isn't bad for a 3rd / 4th liner, I don't get your point in that. It'd be .40 points per game which is solid as hell for a 3rd liner.

Actually he is being paid 2.5M per year in the next 2 years after his bonus is paid out after which point he'd be traded. 1M for that season and 4M the following. I figured you'd be smart enough to figure it out but honestly that's truthfully whats being paid. The hit isn't whats being paid he was front loaded. Honestly you're probably between 19-12 so you're a fool lol. Grow up and figure out what someones talking about before going on the attack, it'll go better for you when you're older because you won't be so foolish.

It's only the cap hit for upper limit teams. There's almost always like 30% of the league with more than 6M cap space. Maybe more.

The Wild have cap space issues if they are bringing in Backes without moving someone, but they should trade Spurgeon for someone on an ELC of 1st rounder. They're basically retooling / rebuilding so it doesn't make sense to keep him and risk losing him for nothing. I was factoring that into this because The Wild wouldn't bring in Kevan Miller if they were keeping Pateryn and Spurgeon.

Nice try you changed the trade and sweetened it so it makes more sense . backes plus plus for a fifth is not what you had posted originally . by the way i have been watching hockey for close to forty years and held season tickets for quite a few of those .

This isn't my thread, I'm positive you're confused but I guess it's because you're elderly instead of being a little runt lmao.
