That's what I was thinking lol.

1. We acquired Kempny for a 3rd round pick from Chicago when his value was low. He's been on the top pairing for us, and has been an immense presence for us on the ice. He was a huge presence for us on our Cup run last year. He's on a sweetheart deal. How does trading him for a 4th round pick make any remote sense?

2. DSP probably won't be on the roster after this season, so that doesn't trade doesn't make sense on top of the Caps trading away Vrana for a 4C and a 3rd. Vrana, if we traded him this off-season, would be worth WAY more than that. He's a 23 year old, 20+ goal scorer. This trade literally makes zero sense.

3. Burakovsky AND Hagelin AND a 2nd AND a 3rd for a fringe NHLer and a 4th? K.

4. If Holtby commands that much as a pending UFA, he's getting traded. A team trying to contend for the Cup can't afford a goalie at nearly $10M. Montreal might be able to make the playoffs that way, but they have a lot of ELCs and low AAVs on their roster currently.
