Don't think the Leafs would WANT to match. But if the Leafs wanted to, they COULD, match. Would have to try trade some cap away following the signing.
With those trades, the Habs are right at the cap and might even have to carry some bonuses onto next year. Then do the Habs have enough cap for Domi and others in 2020/21?

But would we? If robably not. I think leafs take the compensation and save 4.7m in cap by replacing him with an elc.
