Columbus declines. We don’t want to move Peeke or Bjorkstrand and our 2021 1st. That would give us 1 1st in 4 years. Hard pass. Also Nylander is meh and not worth what you’re asking for.

Half the people on this site don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground so don’t get too worked up. The reason they don’t explain is because they can’t.

First off I would keep sparks and give him another shot. The goaltending staff will work with his form.

The brown trade is fine.

The Vegas trade actually gave me some ideas. But it is certainly tilted in the leafs favour. Kadri doesn’t carry the same value and I don’t think they want to move tuch. This is a slippery one because they will not want money coming back. Change the 2nd to a 1st would be a start, maybe Kadri is switched with kapanen on a 1 year deal. Problem is you will need to send a better D prospect (Lilly) but I think you could keep Bracco but leave carrier out. I would have to ponder this trade for a bit to make it feasible. It would mean moving nylander for nearly no money.

Keep zaitsev out of the pesce trade they do not need another RHD.

Kapanen and a 2nd or 3rd for pesce.

I appreciate the thoughts!

For the Vegas trade, I figured Touch is a big boy (Helps add size to the Leafs) and can easily replace Kadri for point scoring. His contract is very friendly as well. Carrier was added to simply shed some more cap from Vegas. Plus after watching him in the Playoffs, he plays to energize his team by hitting anyone that moves. Something the Leafs 4th line has been missing.

I tried my best to keep Zaitsev as he's played very solid with Muzzin as a shut down pair in the playoffs, but his cap hit is about 1-1.5M to high. This was done to basically give Carolina an NHL DMan back while.also shedding cap.
