Your contracts are too high and that forward group is gross

For Doughty, it would most likely be Kadri, Nylander, Sandin, and a 1st.

Much more realistic. Drop Kadri though. If Doughty is dealt it’s full rebuild time. Kadri does nothing to aid that at his age. Nylander,Sandin and a first and a second should interest the Kings

LOL .. no it wouldn't. LA just had a brutal year and Doughty wasn't that good. Yes he has a track record of being good, but the down year would certainly affect his value. Kings wouldn't have much interest in Kadri since they're looking to get younger so take him out. Leafs aren't moving Sandin, they've pretty much deemed him as the only prospect that's untouchable so take him out. You're looking more at Nylander, Liljegren, 2020 1st, 2021 conditional 2nd that could turn into a 1st for whatever reasons, and a C+/B- prospect. Might be able to make that be Bracco but I don't think the Leafs wanna move him since he could be the cheap replacement for other guys. But Doughty wouldn't be the only piece coming back to Toronto either. They'd be taking on a huge contract and reliving a rebuilding team of a massive amount of cap (about $4M) so they add too. Toronto could use some depth and a lot of players on LA would be considered depth on Toronto so they match up well.

Right now, I'd say close to a good deal might look like:

Los Angeles Kings
William Nylander
Timothy Liljegren
Semyon Der-Arguchinstev
2020 TOR 1st round pick (top 10 protected)
2021 TOR 2nd round pick (conditional to 1st if Toronto wins cup in either 2019/2020 or 2020/2021)

Toronto Maple Leafs
Drew Doughty
Trevor Lewis (50% retained)
Paul LaDue
2021 LA 4th round pick (conditional if Toronto's pick upgrades from a 2nd to a 1st, LA sends this pick)

But any deal for Doughty is contingent on Leafs being able to handle the Marleau situation first. They'd have to move him for it to work

Maybe ... but I like to over shoot, they have 1.5M in cap space with these "high contracts" so if they get less, even better. And seriously? For ****ing 2 god damn years now all I'm hearing is people ****ing about AMs ice time .... well now you'd have 2 1st lines, and 2 4th lines ... so guess what, your 2 top lines are gonna be playing alot more, and I don't mind that. Teams like boston ride their 1st line hard in order to succeed, why does TO have to have a balanced 4 line attack? It clearly didn't work did it. And if the kap and johnssons salaries are too high like you said then they could go out and sign a UFA.

Listen I made this roster to show that the leafs could fit a player like Doughty in their lineup, not to display what LA could get in a deal. In order for Toronto to make something like this work, Marleau, Kadri, Brown, Zaitsev, and Nylander have to go. And what exactly are you smoking? You think LA has something to lose by having Marleau in their lineup for the remainder of his contract? They aren't exactly going to be competing for a playoff spot. Anyways, as the other comments have replied you could prob throw in some additional picks and prospects to sweeten this deal.

Yes because there was no other option. Zaitsev played top line minutes also, so is he now a top line dman?

Lol you're such a ****ing idiot, Zaitsev was averagin 18min a game .... those are not top line minutes for a Dman, try again. Considering Johnsson and Kap both put up 20 goals in their first full season, I'd say they're easily top 6 guys, what are you smoking? Give me a 2nd line in the NHL that produces more than the AM line ... go on, I'll wait. Probably not gonna find too many ...TB for sure, Calgary. Yeah.

Ya I'm a ****ing idiot because I don't think Kapanen and Johnsson are top 6. Good one. Great comeback. I'm blown away. Such a hero.
Anyone on that roster could have score 15-20 goals playing with Matthews. Most fans know this and know those two are not top 6 players on most lineups. You are in the minority. The wrong portion of fans

Lol, typical ... I'm not even surprised. You can't even provide me with a better line, you just say "anyone can play with Matthews." So **** it then? Why don't they just trade them both and sign a couple of plugs to play with AM? Yeah .... why don't you give your head a shake.
