Sadly, Holtby won't get that kind of return. If we were willing to take back Koskinen we could get their 2019 1st+2nd+ something else.

The only way you get that kind of return on Holtby is if you are taking Lucic in the deal too.

Yeah they aren't worth that much but you better believe Holtby will get a late 1st+Bennet, probably more.

Depends on the market.... if a team is willing to be patient they can hold off a season

He'd get a 1st (20OA or over) or a 2nd and prospect. Even then with a first this year in that range you could pick Spencer Knight

Caps rebuild in 03-04 took 3 seasons. Oilers rebuild started in what 06-07? And is not even close to done. McDavid just finished his 4th season and has nothing to show for it. Having the best player on the planet will not win a cup. You need to be able to roll 4 lines and the Oilers have 1.

You never know, still up 4 cups on Washington with less years in the league, I think they made a deal with the devil for that dynasty and working there way out of that curse

I think that would be first move then fan base would run him out of town with pitchforks, Edmonton has to rebuild scouting and development, they can’t seem to hit a draftpick outside top 5 and sometimes they can’t even do that right

Ya worth the gamble, but tkachuk with Draisaitl mcdavid or even Nugent-Hopkins at Center would make a pretty solid line

Oilers seem to do it more consistent than most, jets haven’t had too many misses since they got to Winnipeg, haven’t missed on any firsts at all

They took Roslovic in 2015 and Aho was still on the board....imagine coming out of that draft with Connor and Aho

Crazy that could be one of the better lines in hockey with laine
