Trades
MTL
  1. Keith, Duncan
Additional Details:
Mtl are prepared to use Keith 2 years and expose, trade or buyout for Seattle arrival. The price is painful but top 4 LD are rare and Mtl need helps. Without talking about leadership.
CHI
  1. Primeau, Cayden
  2. Reilly, Mike
  3. 2019 2nd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
I think Primeau have a solid chance to be the next No1 goalie of Chi for years.

Kulak & Mete are doing a good job, no need of Keith

I agree. But I prefer to have Kulak expected to be a positive addition instead of a sure thing. About the value of Keith i'm not fixed. Keith, i'm sure, is a center piece for Chi team.

Can I have a neutral opinion from a no-Mtl fan?

Well I'm not either MTL or CHI fan, but at this point I just don't see Keith waiving his NMC to any team. He seems to be a lifetime Blackhawk. I could be wrong though, but I haven't seen anything to that regard that he might be on the move...

Primeau could end up as a starter in the NHL, or he could end up as a starter in the ECHL. Goalie prospects, especially when they're 19 years old, have a pretty low success rate. For every Carter Hart, there's 25 Zach Fucale's.

Also, I agree with @BurgerBoss, I don't see why he would waive his NMC.

Apparently even Seabrook doesn't want to waive his NMC.

By that logic why trade him at all, if its such a risk then he doesnt bring any value to the deal and could be replaced with another pick. I do agree that MTL should be looking at this type of move to give some time to their d prospects to develop. Plus allowing these guys to learn from Weber and Keith is another bonus but i dont think this deal will be getting gone although MB does like to pull deals with Chicago.

I mean, I'm sure other teams value him, but they aren't going to value him enough to get what the Habs are going to think is fair value. He's definitely an asset, but it's easier to draft and develop your own goaltending talent in the middle rounds of the draft. Trading for a 19 year old that's 2-3 years (at the minimum) away from the league, doesn't really help the Hawks at a position that has been iffy for them when Crawford has been out.

More likely to go after a Eric Comrie/Tristan Jarry type guy with good potential who can help immediately.

Again though, I don't see why Keith waives his NMC. He's got 3 cups, is comfortable where he's at, and it's not like the Habs are in a better position to strike than the Hawks are.
