In the cap dumps from Toronto and Winnipeg, expect a good prospect coming back and very little to no assets going the other way. The Rangers are coming in with the upper hand so the only way those contracts get moved to them is if they overpay (not by ridiculous measures, but definitely a good package)

Anaheim's third is better than Washington's third.

You have Vesey = Strome and both > Namestinkov at half his salary, values here are off

I was looking for prospects to add into trades but I don’t know how to value them so I did picks instead

Stroke and Vesey coming off 20 goal seasons Namestnikov is a good player but doesn’t really do anything well I feel like at most they could get a 3rd out of him but I didn’t want to overstep

Im a ranger fan but Vesey is trash, could maybe get a conditional 4th if he scores a certain number, Names does things that non armchair GMs notice and has value, its not just about one stat

Yea dude I know he’s trash it’s just the perception that he has potential to be a 20 goal scorer some gm’s value goal scoring more then what names can provide that’s why I have him going to Edmonton cause they’re just clueless

1) Don't want to sound like a dick, but its not hard to research teams prospects/trade pieces
2) The pick values you chose are bad

Yea man I know you can google and research them still doesn’t change the fact I don’t know how to value other teams prospects consider they may value them differently and how is the pick value bad?

I like eliteprospect, and various fanside/sb nation team sites to see what their writers say (they're in no way experts but they are paid to put in a lot of research and some know people in the organization). They usually have prospect rankings a couple times a year of at least the top 10-- I generally look outside their top 3 for guys a couple yrs away (which is who usually go in these trades). And teams almost never trade 1st round picks in short term cap dumps.

And pick value- cap dumps north of 5 mil from good teams usually have a prospect with potential going the other way, with next to nothing going there. Marleau's and Cally's dump are overpayments (by the rangers). For Marleau, considering he'd almost definitely need to be bought out for him to approve the trade, that'd probably cost more
