You resigned Chris Kelly. I wouldn't hire you. Can we please move on from that guy? We have young guys in the minors who could easily fill a 4th line role. And Colorado hangs up on you if you propose that deal to them. They are getting nothing for value for a guy who could get them a decent haul.

Do you really think the Avs make that deal? Hayes has played off the team, a 30th pick is four years away from the NHL, so Miller for Barrie.
Two NHLers from Minni to Boston for three maybes, doesn't help Minni rise above middling.

Wild say no. Trade does nothing for them.

Kelly is a great leader in the Bruins locker room, and is still a very serviceable penalty killer. And Colorado is in a bind, teams no that they want to try and move him. The only thing I'd say to that is move the B's pick this year at 14 instead if SJ's at 29. They get a shut down D (which they are heavily lacking) in K.Miller and a 3rd liner in Hayes.

Kelly is coming off a major injury that he may not even recover from. He's 35 years old. He broke his femur. You do know how hard it is to break that bone, right? He's over the hill. I don't care if he's a good leader and good PKer. You can find someone younger, hungrier, and ones who can kill penalties for the same price (or slightly cheaper). The Bruins issues stem from continuing to bring back the same players year after year. Move on from Chris Kelly. His time here is over.

Colorado doesn't have to move him, so why are they in a bind? Barrie is a solid OFD, and they will get a better package than this. Kevan Miller, a shutdown D? On what planet?

Kevin Miller being called a shutdown D was priceless. Also you would be a worse GM than Sweeny because neither Col or Min would ever accept your call again after these insults. In two weeks you'd probally alienate us to the entire league.

I second what others have said. This is pretty bad.
