I think you're overvaluing Kapanen.

By all accounts Tolvanen's floor is where Kap is now. And he's cost controlled and younger.

As a Preds fan, definitely not, this doesnt make any sense for the Predators, our top forward prospect and a really nice defensive prospect for...Kapanen? I don't think so. We will hold on to Tolvanen and Allard. Until you throw someone like Marner into the deal, there will not possibly be a conversation about including Tolvanen in a deal.

I think tolvanen’s floor is where he is now. From what I have heard the preds are unsure as to whether he makes the show.

Pretty good overall.

I would keep Zaitsev and Muzzin together, they proved they can be a shutdown pair in the playoffs.

Dermott to me needs to stay 3rd pair and either take over as the #2 pair LD after Muzzin is gone for next season or Dermott plays on his offside all year with Rosen to see if he can handle it and then paired with Rielly on 1st pair next season.

For this season, dont know what to do if we have no cap to sign someone to pair with Rielly.
I like Chiarot but he will cost at least 2 million I think if not more.

Bracco should be top 9 not 4th line imo

Marner for tolvanen? Lmao. If I can find the agm I posted before I will show where the idea came from.

I’m perfectly fine with switching tolvanen for a different elc/prospect.

Any suggestion?

Bracco starts on the 4th line till he signs an extension or bursts out to the point we need to move him. I would love to see a 3rd line of Moore-Kadri-Bracco.

If we have no cap space (we don’t) then I think we go with this or a swap with zaitsev and Dermott.

Zaitsev saved muzxin’s ass defensively last year. If he can do the same for Rielly... why not. Dermott should pair well with muzzin.

Not Marner for Tolvanen straight up, I am saying a deal with Tolvanen doesn't get done without Marner involved

I would say that is still pretty drastic. You are certainly over valuing tolvanen. Which who knows maybe that pays off.

Maybe allard and a 2nd?

Don’t see allard as must keep piece in your system. With subban fabbro and Ellis. Any move involving subban would most likely bring in another prospect.

The difference between Marner and Tolvanen is the same than Tolvanen and Kapanen and Allard... So, ThatGuy014Rob overvalue Tolvanen and you overvalue Kapanen...

Nashville really needs top 6 forwards (preferably top 3). I don't know if Kapenen fills that role (would have to push past Granlund and Smith on RW to get into the top 6. I don't think he does that tbh so this trade wouldn't make sense for Nashville.

Okay again since people don't know how to read, I NEVER said Tolvanen was equal to Marner, I simply said Tolvanen, the Preds top prospect, is not for traded according to Poile, but If it were a deal to help the Preds with immediate offensive help he might consider INCLUDING Tolvanen in a deal. I even just said above that I was not implying Tolvanen for Marner as the Leafs would never go for that. Is this dumbed down enough for you now yanp007?

Think you misread him he is agreeing with you.

Kapanen produced better than tolvanen at his age and is proven nhl good. I could certainly see why you want to hold on to him and see if he picks up.

Granlund got you 5 points hopefully he adjusts and gets going, most agm’s have smith on the move. Think kappy could certainly leapfrog him in depth.

Maybe even dump turris and put granny at centre. Preds are looking for scoring so I thought it would match up. There are other teams with similar pieces.

It seems like he is saying I am overvaluing Tolvanen and implying I am valuing him as much as Marner, which I am not, I am just saying, I think Tolvanen has the potential to be much better than Kapanen but doesnt get the chance because of the depth we possess.

It seems he is aying that I am overvaluing Tolvanen, and that I think he worth equal to Marner, which I do not. Tolvanen I think can be better than Kapanen, he just hasnt had the chance because of our depth so yes, I value him more than Kapanen, just not more that Marner. I was simply stating Poile doesn't want to trade him. He would only consider trading him in a deal with immediate offensive help.

I would say part of granlund's issue was adjusting to the new team (as well as having some down right terrible luck). Nashville really needs a good 2C or someone who can push Johansen down to 2C. From there, I think alot of the rest sorts itself out on Nashville. 1 or 2 of Subban/Ellis/Josi need to be sent out prior to any our up and coming. We don't have any high end forward prospects outside of Tolvanen. Pitlick could end up being pretty good too though.

Yes I noticed that about the prospects. Like I mentioned before I don’t see tovanen’s ceiling being higher than kapanen’s. Maybe a deal to send Kadri and kappanen over would fit better. Provided you can dump turris.
