Target the 3rd overall...

Created by: scarbrow21

Initial Creation Date: Jun. 10, 2016

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
CBJ have a pretty good pool of prospects in Lake Erie. They add a potential top 6 in Kyle Connor who was the NCAA scoring leader as a freshman last year. Jack Roslovic another first rounder from last year who is a Columbus native who can play C which could have high potential. They shed Clarksons terrible contract and Johnson as they have many defensive prospects on the left side, as well they're able to free up the needed CAP space to sign Seth Jones who they traded Johansson for. Although they don't get Jesse Puljujarvi they do still get a 1st round pick as well as a good back up goalie and a good 3rd/4th liner/penalty killer in Burmistrov.

Dude, you are on crack. At some point you will really need to acknowledge that Laine is a RIGHT WINGER! Google it or something. Trouba at 5.8!! Why would we want Jack Johnson? You now have one of the most expensive D corps in the league plus you took on Clarksons shitty contract? CBJ need a Center

Clearly plays both. So maybe follow the links or "google it" yourself. Pretty sure at the WHC he played LW as well but that one I tried looking for and couldn't find.

Laine does play the LW as well as the RW but you are on crack for taking on Jack Johnsson AND Clarksons contract even if it got Puljujarvi

Ok, I am a CBJ fan. I would advise against taking the Clarkson contract. He will likely be bought out. For the Jack Johnson bashers, he is a good defenseman. The only reason he is expendable is because of the development of the new wave of defensemen coming through our organization. Only 29 and on a very fair contract. I would counter with a bit more fair of a trade: 3OA, Johnson, Hartnell for Connor, Roslolvic, Burmistrov, 22nd OA and 2016 second round pick.
