Description

Dallas' biggest need is a RD that can slot into their top-4 next to Heiskanen. The issue with signing Karlsson or Myers is that it's going to really cause issues during the expansion draft for Dallas. Both Brodie & Hamonic would slot in well in their top-4, and both of their contracts end before they'd need to be protected for the expansion draft.

What would a trade for Brodie OR Hamonic look like?

From what I’ve seen, Flames fans seem to want Hamonic more than Brodie

That's what I've gathered as well, but I'm not as in-tune with the Flames as those Albertan's so I figured I'd defer to their judgement. Speaking of RD what were your thoughts on Stralman this year? He's probably the only notable FA that we'd be able to get away with giving a 2-year contract to.

Brodie is probably the more available one. Only because Hamonic provides a physicality none of our other d do. But I'm not sure what you would offer for a top 4 defenceman?

Flames would definitely move Brodie I think and Dallas is a good fit.

In a Brodie trade the Flames would be looking for a top 6 winger or a top 9 C.

Brodie and Jankowski for Faksa and Honka?

See, Brodie is left handed but he always plays better on the right side. The flames tried him on the left side for a while and he was not nearly as good. He's a RD who shoots left.
