Funny how. Jets fans didn't like the Florida deal. Fact is Connor and Trouba have a total of five years controllable NHL service. Jets would be receiving 3 years of Trochek a mid first rounder and more.
Moving two big contracts and receiving only back and for a needed position might just what the Jets need.

My problem with Florida deal is I don’t do trochek for Connor straight up, so why do it in this deal, I hate trading away probably the two better players in the deal, as soon as Connor is added there better be something flashy exciting coming back, and this one doesn’t pass for me
