LMAO relax tough guy, just because nobody wants Leafs garbage you don't need to get so butt hurt, Zaitsev had one good productive year where Mike Babcock and his stupid reason to not play Rielly on the powerplay that year. Zaitsev as a rookie was terrible even strength and compiled a lot of powerplay points and played a premium position RHD and got a 7 year deal based on PP points. He is only useful when he plays in a sheltered role and that's how Babcock will continue to deploy him.

Zaitsev does not play a sheltered role, defensive zone starts, penalty kills, last minute lead protecting and top line assignments is not sheltered. Zaitsev was used like a rented mule.

Except that this year in the playoffs he played anything but a sheltered role. He and Muzzin ate tough minutes and he played just fine.

Muzzin covers up a lot of his mistakes, if you play him with someone else he looks awful.

Pretty sure you didn't watch any of the playoffs, especially considering you thought he was playing sheltered minutes in the first place.

Muzzin was arguably the Leafs best dman against the Bruins.

Bahahaha... yes bad pinches leading to goals. Toronto’s best Dman was Rielly but on the defensive side it was zaitsev. Muzzin brought the body so that was productive.

I think Spurgeon is significantly better than Muzzin. Assuming we could re-sign him I'm comfortable with the deal.

Got no problem paying less though! smile

Lilly stays, spurgeon will decline and will cost a lot to resign 6.25m-8m.

This is a trade that could certainly come back to haunt you. Lindgren has shown great development but doesn’t have the same ceiling. Next season may be a lost cause. Would hate to sell the future on that.

VAN decline and laugh, they don't need a overpaid pylon on the backend.

Yeah...they have enough already.

Zaitsev is not a top 4 dman, he can't play on the powerplay. I don't understand your point? Zaitsev needs to play sheltered minutes and has no hockey iq.

But...he'd be the best d on your Canucks.
