Phils Trade List

Created by: Quavo
Team: 2019-20 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: May 24, 2019
Published: May 24, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Let's get this out of the way first, just because a team is on Phil's no trade list DOESN'T mean we can't trade him there. It just means what Phil can choose to not go there which he very likely will if he doesn't want to leave Pittsburgh. Phil wants a full no trade clause so he's going to pick 8 teams that he thinks are the least likely to take him due to the cap but also places he wouldn't mind going to if he had to. He'll also pick teams that he knows the Penguins won't trade him to.

I predict he would have these 8 teams:

Vegas
Tampa
Toronto
Philadelphia
Nashville
Washington
NY Rangers
Boston

If Kessel is traded it seems like he'd need to go to a similar situation as Pittsburgh, a good team that just needs that one piece to get them to the next level.

I wonder if the Penguins wouldn't be better off trading Sullivan?

Well another way to look at it is that he's already won his cups so he'd probably just want to go to a small market team with good weather where he could just be himself and play hockey like Florida

Actually Florida would be a good fit, wonder what they'd have that the Pens would want.

FL is one of the teams I think he would have on his list. He already has a home there and it's where his boat is parked.

Look lets be honest though. No one knows the teams on the list because no one is saying at this point. The only thing we do know, is the Wild aren't one of them according to a really dodgy report on a trade.
Yes I called the Althetic dodgy, lets not pretend all their clickbait nonsense over the years isn't real.

If the report would have come from the Trib I would have some faith in it. It didn't. But we do know from the Trib they do want to trade him and that's from inside the penguins.

Kessel would go where the most promise and the least cap issues are IMO

i Predict teams like VAN who PP has a bright future that Kessel can mold as the top PP producer the last 3 seasons combined he's the guy you want with them to learn from to .

another team i think would be WPG because surrounded by those huge bodied players he'd be able to do a lot of damage and finally give WPG the edge they've needed in the playoffs. we all know WPG has no issues making moves to get better making a big splash on the trade market taking a top forward 2 straight years. there cap situation could be better but a trade for Kessel could solve that as they have 26m to sign Laine , Hayes , Copp ,Connor , Trouba and Meyers . if WPG can use this to move Perrault the n trading a Connor or a Trouba for a Kessel could solve some things for them after all TML still helping pay for Kessel deal which is less then what Connor or Trouba will need .

DAL is the obvious choice though as they've had issue with scoring goals outside their top 3 guys and Kessel will help generate a lot immediately as Radulov did and has continued to do.DAL has the pieces to give up to get Kessel in Roberston , Tufte, Eriksson and Dickinson who would all be worth considering moving if 1 of them with picks could land Kessel .

VGK could also use this Draft Expansion Exemption to take advantage and grab Kessel for a a player like Collin Miller
