Why is no one talking about Tyler Ennis
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MikeyThePensFan</b></div><div>Don’t get me wrong, Ennis is a miles better player than Sheary but you know what they have in common? Both are undersized & you can’t win championships with those types of players. After the 2016 championship the league has caught up to the Pens’ speed & agility. It’s best to go after the big fast hybrid wingers like Kreider.</div></div>
But we did win two Stanley cups with Sheary and we beat teams that were bigger than us on our way to those Stanley cups. I just watched the 2016 Stanley cup movie and literally every team we played the players said “they were a lot bigger than us and a lot more physical”. As long as we can roll 4 lines and play defense I don’t think the size of the forwards matters

What an incredibly stupid move by their coaching staff. Either that or they don't want him traded so tried to tank his value on purpose. one or the other.</div></div>
How is sitting him for being late to a meeting (something he’s done before) them trying to run him out of town?

Palmieri is not worth that at all. His career high for goals is 30 and you wanna give up a 1st and more for him? I’d rather keep Galchenyuk then give up all that

Honestly I don’t think they need to resign Galchenyuk or Schultz. They have Addison and Marino coming up to replace Schultz and we have a multitude of forward prospects like Hallander, Poulin, and Legare so if Galchenyuk wants more than $6 mil they should let him walk plus they haven’t really even seen him play since he’s only been in 3 games

Best Option For Getting Rid Of JJ
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PuckLuck_77</b></div><div>As a Kings fan, I certainly think the Kings would be interested in getting another 1st rounder this year and could eat JJ's salary at the right price. I don't think you're giving enough to warrant bringing a top-4 defenseman back with retained salary, though. The first rounder is the cost of adding JJ to any trade. Now you need to figure out what DF would cost with retained salary. I think a B+ forward prospect that is expansion draft exempt OR a second rounder added onto the 1st rounder would be enough to get it done.
Counter trade. Derek Forbort at 1.25mil retained for JJ, 2020 1st, and Filip Hallander.</div></div>
I think that’s too much. I think you’re basic Johnson’s value off of the Marleau deal which I don’t think is a fair comparison.
Marleau’s buyout cost the Hurricanes over $6 mil in cap space in a year where they’re trying to put a competitive team on the ice which is why the Leafs has to give up a 1st rounder.
The Kings have very good young players but I still don’t think they make the playoffs this year so they can afford Johnson’s contract which is almost half what Marleau’s is and the length shouldn’t matter since the Kings probably won’t be competitive during the year or two they have him before they buy him out.
I think if the Kings gave up nothing in return the Penguins would have to give up a 2nd to get rid of Johnson’s deal. Plus take into account that the Penguins would only get Forbort for one year. I think it’s a pretty fair trade but that’s just me

Bro I'd seriously rather trade Johnson and a 1st than give up Rust. Rust embodies everything that the coaching staff thinks the team should be. He's fast, versatile, a penalty killer, is fantastic in transition. **** the 1st rounders IMO the time to win is NOW and we need Rust to win now

(Serious note, we already have the replacement with Pettersson/Riikola)</div></div>
IDK dude I still don't think Riikola's ready for top 6 yet. Plus if you get rid of Johnson that takes Johnson's physical play out of the lineup (it's about the only thing he's good at but it's still important in today's NHL). Ideally you'd want somebody with a physical presence that can actually play defense to replace him and have Riikola as the 7th defender in case someone gets hurt

What Id do
Just a question in general why do you guys always have to make 800 trades in every single AGM? Do you have any idea how rare trades are in the NHL? Jim Rutherford is one of the most active GMs on the trade market in the NHL and even he only makes 3-4 NHL trades a year. Why can't you just narrow it down to 1-3 trades you would do

In all honesty with the cap hell that the Rangers are in after signing Panarin you guys should be very thankful you didn't get him or some other overpaid 30 year old. I feel like they could've gotten more for Barrie but overall I'd give the offseason a B grade
