Need a bit more coming back from the Islanders in that trade, and I don't want Cizikas, we already have enough bottom six forwards. Pulock is a good building block, but we need more. Also, I don't see us trading Ehlers for other wingers, it just doesn't make sense. I don't see Chevy paying 3 mil for Tanev either, and one of Chiarot/Beaulieu will be signed to play instead of Morrow.

I don't think Shero does that move. They really like Bratt
Palms is a high 20s goalscorer each yr. A bit of a PR coup since he's from Jersey.
Now Trouba we have interest in. Wondered why you did a deal with Isles, they have D coming up, they'll be fine.
To get Pulock I am assuming?

If you get Bratt you might as well play him

I wouldn’t trade Pulock straight up for Trouba! The last thing the Isles need are defensemen anyway. We have 7 quality nhl d men on the roster plus Aho, Dobson and Wilde knocking on the door.

It seem in so many of this Trouba trades, folks refuse to look at a player's term or controllable years. A big overpayment by the Isles trading their best and very cost efficient Pulock.

I'd rather take Pulock for Trouba than a mid to late first round pick. You are assured that you will get a very good Defenseman and with a pick there is risk involved.Czikas and Kulikov is one hand washing the other in salary cap management. Same thing with Perreault and Palmieri. Both Czikas and Palmieri's contracts expire when Laine will need to be resigned

Ehlers is our Nylander, he's going to have to be moved anyway, you can haggle about more picks being involved but I just wanted to introduce an idea.

Yeah just an idea rather than the jets accepting draft picks, they are very comparable talent and potential wise

It doesn’t address your 2C problem, which is very real

If Pulock has the same type of year he had this last one, hes going to be looking for the same money Trouba gets. This way gives Lou more control of the situation. The Isles also have to sign Barzal and Toews next year so this spreads it out a bit

Yeah I know, but with Little's contract im afraid were stuck with him for a couple years yet. Buying him out is a little to steep yet

I'd happily trade Bode Wilde in a package for Trouba, but not Pulock. His stock is on the rise and will be a mainstay for this team.

Once again, Palhal is just bitter about the value of Trouba, and continues to misunderstand the situation.... Ryan Pulock is one season away from being in the exact same position as Trouba is now. Right now, the Islanders have the cap space and assets to make a move that would allow them to bring in and lock up a player in Trouba, who would be an upgrade from Pulock, albeit a slight improvement.

Not that I see Trouba going to NYI, but there's nothing wrong with Pulock being involved in this trade proposal.
