Description
Florida Trade: Panthers have made it known they want to lose cap to sign Bob and the Bread man. Trading away Hoffman is the most likely bet and getting the 7th overall pick in return is huge value. Throw in a second to make the value fair. The reason I would do this if I was Buffalo is the last two major prospects outside of Dahlin are Nylander and Mittlestadt. Both have severly under preformed from where they were drafted and I dont trust Buffalo scouting team to pick the right guy again. Having Hoffman around adds a really good punch to your second line that has been missing for year.

Chicago trade: The Blackhawks have made it known they want to swing Anisimov out for D help as Strome has fit perfectly into the number two spot. Scandella who has one less year than Anisimov fits the blackhawks needs perfectly too. having him one year less before Boqvist is fully ready for top 6 roles.

FA signings: Cam Talbot. I still think Cam has it, he showed flashes of it with the Flyers and I think if enough dollars or term is thrown his way, he could come to Buffalo.

FA signings: Jeff Skinner. Hes not leaving lets be real. give him 8x8 ad call it a day.

Absolutely not giving up our first for an expiring ufa.

Edit: "severely underperformed" Casey had his first year in a tough situation. Relax.

What if Hoffman would sign extension upon trade??

And yeah cause he wasnt a number two center but was being played like one. Im not saying he or Nylander is a bust at all, just being played wrong by the coach

No because by then he's 30. If I'm trading 7oa, it's for a young player between 22-25 that can have impact now and for the future.

Ideas who would be a LW in that age that a team would like to get rid of? Cause I really cant. Maybe Zucker but hes not a guy Id trade for.

Even for the extended Hoffman I wouldn't give #7, it doesn't correspond to our age group.

Meier is a guy in San Jose who is going help their cap, I couldn't see a trade. But fair enough I get it you want young.

If we could get guys like Hoffman or Kreider for a similar deal like we got with Skinner; I would be down for that. Maybe we got a great deal, and it's unrealistic to expect to make another trade like that, but I don't know. 2nd, 3rd, and B-C Prospect for a top 6 winger with only 1 year is fair I think.
