Point should be in 8 to 9 range for 5 years. HOWEVER if someone offer sheets 10.3M .. as compensation is only 2 1sts a 2nd and 3rd up to 10.4 M then it goes to 4 1sts after 10.4M .. Tampa needs to match; it cant go lower .. will be interesting given all the top RFAs in league what will happen ..

If Leafs give Marner 10mil and lets be honest Dubas will, Point will get slightly more.

I like how people think Marner is getting 11+ but Point is getting under 10. There's no reason Point should be less than Marner. Even with Tampa's tax advantages. Point is a better player. Ill trade Marner at 11 for Point at 10 any day of the week.

Well, you'll be disappointed when you'll see the news of Tampa re-signing Point to xM AAV (below 10M)

Different teams, different surroundings, different mindsets.
“Part of the culture that we have here in Tampa is kind of that team-first mentality, and if you want to keep a good team together, guys are going to have to make little sacrifices along the way,” Stamkos said. “Whether that’s in terms of money or term or ice time or role on the team.

“That was something that — it’s kind of non-negotiable on this team, in terms of doing whatever it takes to help us keep the core together and keep being a productive team. That message was pretty loud and clear early when Steve got here and established himself as a GM, and continued to be that way.”

You are absolutely rentless on your bull**** dude hahaha.

1) I'm not a millenial
2) Quoting something is called having some "stats/datas/opinions (of someone who's got a closer look than we do on the situation)" to back up your thoughts; something you never do by the way.
3) How much of entitlement do you have to think you know more than a Lightning beatwriter that is constantly in touch with the players and the management, and has an inside look on the things we are talking about?

Oh: TheAthletic is probably the most reputable source of articles in today's hockey world. They are no CNN

Its all speculation. At the end of the day no one really knows. Can't we just have friendly discussions about it? BOLTLOVER1 this more directed at you as well. C'mon guys
