Thats a huge overpay for a 1 year rental. I wouldnt even give up that much if Hall signed an extension

fair, i looked at karlsson trade as comparison and made it slightly less, sharks gave up a top 6 forward, top 6 defencemen,2 top prospects, 1st and 2 second rounders

even with that over pay.... look at this line up! lol and on top of that +- 6 mil cap space to sigh TH extension and possibly add to the defense depth. this roster would be lethal

This is a bigger return than the Karlsson trade. Valuing Barrie as a top 6 d man is a massive understatement and the SJS 1st rounder isn't comparable to the 4th overall pick

EDIT: I'm dumb I thought that was the OTT 1st rounder in the trade not the COL 1st rounder. But I still think it's an overpayment

I misread the trade. I initially thought it was the 4th overall pick included instead of the 16th pick. I would do this deal if Hall signed an extension but not if it's just a rental

Wilson I'd maybe re-sign but not Brassard. He was utter garbage.

I still wouldn't make that trade for a 1 year rental. Maybe if he was extended to a reasonable figure.

The Eberle signing isn't bad, but I'd say Varly wants more.
