Not a full roster, that's delusional enough. Leafs should be happy if they can just rid themselves of Zaitsev and Marleau.

You are severely undervaluing Trouba. You think a #1 RHD costs an aging #3C? Honestly, Trouba would probably cost Nylander

Jets cant afford trouba anyways, Kadri is a 2C on any team other than toronto and pittsburg. who else has current assets that are on cheap contarcts they are willing to move on from

Even with him the Vegas trade doesn't really make sense for them, does it? They are in the same spot as you guys, why would they opt for quantity when you wouldn't?

I don't even dislike the Trouba for Kadri part, cause I think Trouba might be a bit overrated and Kadri the opposite, but I don't think Trouba even signs in Canada to begin with - wasn't that the problem in WPG? He doesn't want to be there long term.

Well they could afford him, he just does not want to play for a Canadian team which makes me wonder why Leafs fans keep trying to trade for him. I mean if any Canadian team has a shot at signing him long term it’s Toronto but it is still slim.

I honestly think the Jets would opt for a young developing C, such as Frost from Philly, and ride it out with Little as their 2C until Frost takes over.
