Noooooooo, we don't want Lucic's anchor of a contract for a meager 7 place increase in the draft... a more-than-likely-draft-bust...

even less so if we have to give up the Memorial cup MVP...

That... is a very good deal for the Oilers and a very bad deal for the Habs. At a minimum the Oilers should retain 25-50% of Lucic’s salary. But even with that stipulation Montreal would do well to avoid making the trade.

I understand/agree with your concern re Lucic...side note, a reminder that just because a guy won Memorial Cup MVP doesn't guarantee that player will be a stud in the NHL. For every MacKinnon, Hall or Marner there is a Michael Chaput, Kelly Guard or Edgars Kulda.
