But how is he getting an 8 year contract on Tampa when there is no trade for his rights with the Sharks?

And how are they going to sign Vasilevskiy next summer with those cap hits?

Yeah, but not every player wants to play out their career in a town where 90% of the people don't even know there's a hockey team. Karlsson will stick to the Northeast. The Islanders have all that money they're not paying Tavares. That would be a good home for him. Rangers would be better. Hoping it's not Montreal. I'd rather see other teams wreck their cap pictures for the next decade.

I'd love to see him go to Tampa. Can't wait to see how they untangle their cap mess. They'll get 140 points in the regular season and still probably lose in the first round.

Actually they do until June 23rd as only they can negotiate with a player/agent until that deadline. That’s why teams trade for negotiating rights up through the draft.

But you obviously don’t understand that nor maximum length of a contract being only 7 years unless the player signs with his current club.

This is pointless because it will take more than going from 6th round to 4th round for the rangers to even consider taking Callahan.

Many times. More dog racing fans than hockey fans there.

Twice last winter. There are bums in seats (at $69 tickets) but the Lightning could die tomorrow and 90% of Tampa dwellers wouldn't give a sh*t.

You honeslty have no idea what you are talking about. It's cool man. Some people just end up gathering the wrong information.

Sorry, bud. Tampa ain't no hockey town. Attendance is fine, especially when the team is rocking, but Steve Stamkos could streak naked over the Sunshine Skyway and no one would recognize him.

As opposed to your extra two games? At least the Habs didn't disappoint.

The Habs definitely did not disappoint. Love seeing them miss the playoffs every year.
