All this does not look very good. I would not want to accept the contract Rask, while the team has Okposo. The Tampa deal looks weird, the Florida deal is even weirder.

Agree - if the Sabres agree to take an obvious cap dump and contract anchor like Rask in order to get Zucker, the typical formula seen in most trades of that type would be less going back. The Penguins trade last year of Hunwick (cap dump) required Sheary as a decent 2nd/3rd line player to be included and all the Sabres gave up was a draft pick. Even the rumored Penguins-Wild swap of Kessel/Zucker would have seen the Wild have to take back one anchor contract (Johnson) in order to shed Rask's anchor contract.

If it's Zucker + Rask, the Sabres would likely only give up either Nylander by himself or a 2nd/3rd rounder.

Which is fine because I don't see anything coming back from the Lightning in that proposed deal that is worth giving up McCabe
