Usually this guy's moves are just absolute jokes but SJ should consider that. All four assets coming to SJ are pretty valuable.

Problem is, I don't see SJ being able to afford to do that move.

That's a massive over pay for Hertle. he is good but not a 50 point defensive center, top pairing dman, top prospect AND a 30 goal winger good. San Jose would have to throw in something else of significant value like Labanc and even then MTL probably still says no.

The only argument I'd have for asking more in return would be the possibility of him testing free agency instead of resigning with the Habs when his contract is up. But I wouldn't ask for roster players, I'd go for picks.
