Detroit would never make that trade. Krug for the #6 over all?

But this doesn't make any sense either as Detroit probably doesn't mind taking on cap dums while the Bruins definitely do. Makes more sense to pay Detroit to keep Ericsson, and it makes even more sense to trade Krug for say Athanasiou, since you're most likely not getting close to Mantha and the Wings don't have many other players of the impact the Bruins would like

interesting point. I started poking around looking at the teams that are good teams looking to contend with bad powerplays. That's where Krug is elite. Some teams that popped up, Nasvhille, Vegas, NYI, maybe Calgary, and maybe Dallas. I doubt Krug waives his motified NTC that stipulates he has to name 8 teams he won't want to go to for calgary, but nashville, vegas, dallas...all tax free markets that would have to think they have a great chance at extending krug. Krug and a kicker for Arvidsson? Krug and something legit for Tuch? Doesn't seem like a ton of options. I'm guessing they just keep him.

The fact that Dallas and Nashville have awful power plays is insane Josi Ellis subban Miro klingberg should all be good PP guys

I guess a trade with nashville would free them up to move a d man for some forward help. I just don't see too many places to get a young top six winger for krug.

The issue is trying to run your PP through defensemen in the first place
