The Sabres will miss the pure leadership abilities of Okposo in the locker room and on the ice. He is really living up to his bargain contract he signed a couple years ago.

I wouldn't go that far, but Dahlin is also more valuable than Pasta.

agreed. That being said, there is no other asset that buffalo has that would get pastrnak. I don't even think Eichel would do it. Pastrnak was 4th in the NHL in goals per game, and 8th in points per game. He's 23 and has an awesome contract. good luck.

Reason why Sweeney wouldn't Eichel for Pasta is because of Eichel's cap hit, has nothing to do with the talent of the two players. In terms of a 1 for 1, there is no good match for Buffalo. Reinhart I think would be the "closest" but Buffalo would have to add a little on the end.

He's a 60 point player who has improved every year. That's also why "closest" was in quotes in the first place.
