NSH needs to create space to sign Duchene. Only would consider this if byram miraculously falls to 6 OA. Turris is a good bridge 2C until Veleno is ready or draft a Center next year

Would have to trade up to get byram, and he would also probably be headed back to Vancouver whl for another season

whats your concern with it? Nashville gets 10+ million in cap relief, a 2nd round pick, and a 2nd pairing defenseman to play on the 3rd line. feel like thats a win for nashville.

I am not a Dekeyser fan. I consider him overpaid for what he brings to the table - and he would be an expensive D to put on the third pair.

If the Preds trade Subban, it will be for a better return. And I don't think they'll need to package him with anyone to get the return they want. I'm more than happy to keep both of these players. Turris looked great at the world championship and Subban is still Subban. I see the deal you proposed as overvaluing Dekeyser while undervaluing Subban and Turris. Honestly, remove Subban from the deal and that is more of a fair offer I think.

I think subban the hockey is great but he also comes with a 9 million cap hit. His value is no where near what it was 3 years ago or whenever y’all got him. Turris looked great at the world championship but you are nuts if you think a guy with 23 pts and a 6 mil cap hit is getting more than a 3rd round pick.

Subban - his value isn't the same obviously, but it's not Dekeyser and a 2nd bad...I mean...

And for Turris - ok. I'm fine keeping him because, yes he had a bad year because of injury, I know he is better than a 3rd.

That’s fair. This is with the assumption y’all were trying to sign duchene and needed to dump salary. I Don’t see anyone else on the preds that teams would be willing to take cap dumps on without y’all giving up prospects and picks in an already low prospect pool.

I don't disagree - our prospect pool is sad right now. I think the preds will lose 1-3 of the following players this summer: Smith - Turris - Bonino - Watson - Subban - Ellis - Josi. I think we would be able to move some cap, but it won't be easy.

Yeah I think Bonino and smith will be hard the sell due to contract and production without giving up another asset. Ellis has too good of a contract imo. Watson might be hard due to him being a ****ty human. I think y’alls best bet is josi. He will get the biggest return and I don’t think there would be a huge drop off between a josi-Ellis-ekholm-fabbro top four and a pk-ellis-ekholm-fabbro top 4.
