Zucker is great. He's signed bargain deal at a reasonable cap hit....he's got heart, he's gritty for his size, he's fast, he kills penalties, and he's a good possession player. I'd love to have him at the expense of a prospect in Nylander who you have no idea if he is even going to work out and more.

I still wouldn't do it, honestly. Zucker is traded for peanuts every day on this site, he's worth more than a late 1st and a risky prospect. I think Arizona's 14th overall pick would be a fair swap for him.

the way i see it, sheary is similar to zucker, def brings less, but is cheaper and only had about 10 less points playing on a worse team. it is fact zucker had a down year but minnesota gets a player who can immediately step in and play. nylander is def a risky prospect but is still very young and has potential, he showed flashes of it last season. i understand why sabres fans dont like him, i personally believe he is still regarded as a good prospect and i dont believe he should just be looked over because of his slow development. in a much better situation he can flourish. minnesota gets future pieces as they are rebuilding and the sabres bolster their top 6. i think it makes sense for both sides, fenton also in his short time in minny has made risky type deals
