Description
JVR being a NJ native would fit right in with Devils and could make an instant impact on a team lacking goal scoring talent. Maple leafs are in full rebuild and are still some time away from being playoff competitive. Toronto stockpiles yet another amazing young asset while NJ gets instant firepower which could help them be playoff worthy next year. This is similar to the Cory Schneider for the 9th overall pick trade, a couple years ago.

    Hey Marco. As a Leafian, I would like this trade. Leafs do have LWers they hope are ready to step in to be NHLers....Soshivov, Johnson, Leivo, plus Lindberg, Tishakov. Yea I know I'm being optimistic on these guys talent level. But it might let Leafs more appealing to Jim Vesey as the top two LWer position are up for grabs, with Matthews and Nylander as centres.

    The idea isnt bad but more has to come back to the leafs. Devils win this trade bigtime

    I suppose it depends on the player sitting there at pick #11 and how highly the leafs regard him. I'd like to pick up one of their goalie prospects in the deal
