33 years old, turning 34 in December isn't prime age. The only thing Stastny is prime for is a dip in production

Yeah, Clarkson is better to not play & get checks from Vegas than New York.
I like the idea of not getting into the UFA fray & overpaying for Panarin & pivoting toward Gusev.
With Vegas's cap issue & my belief they wont trade Statsny & he does have NTC (modified 10 team approved list)

NYR gets:
Gusev (signs RFA deal for 3 years 4 -4.5 Million per)
Ryan Reaves
Cody Eakin

(both Eakin & Reaves can potentially be moved at the deadline for picks (some combination of 3rd through 5th rounders and/or B level prospects. NYR may try to retain Reaves as they were pursuing him as UFA last summer,albeit at a lower cost)

The Trouba says nothing about "the market". He does not have to move, we'd be happy to resign him. We have all the cap space and the leverage.
