I will never understand the obsession with Brandon Tanev. He seems like a really good 4th liner. Doesn't have enough offensive pop to be impactful in top 9.

How much offense do you need if you're a two way forward. He hit 14 goals last year playing with Lowry. I think heb could put up similar numbers.

GMBM wants a two-way guy. Tanev brings a ton of value besides goals.

We don't need anything but goals. We're losing Connolly and Bura who could put goals up. We have Hegelin-Eller who also don't put up a lot of goals. We don't need more two-way guys. We need guys that are offensively potent.

I don't think there's a lot available that won't be priced out. Connolly is better offensively than Simmonds, Ferland, Donskoi, and they're all going to probably cost more than 4 million. None of those guys are seriously being targeted.

You don't have to target them. You can find cheap 3rd line scoring. Like, I'd rather have Cousins on the 3rd line than Tanev. But there are 2 other guys you could sign for cheap that could help offensively: Pirri and Hartman.

Pirri is awful defensively and it's exactly why he has trouble sticking despite getting goals. I highly doubt he produces what Connolly does in the same spot and he's worse defensively, and Connolly was not good at all defensively. Is he worth a shot on the 4th? Probably yeah.

I like Hartman a lot as a cheap option. But there sounds like a few teams are interested (Wild, Dallas, probably more) that might make him more expensive than he's worth.

I think trying to replace Connolly's offensive production is probably impossible, so I'd still like someone who is simply better at other things and can still contribute some offense. Tanev does that.

i would like hartman also but Wild are interested like CF just said. hope they can bring him in. if not i like 3 coyote players; hinostrosa (trade), panik (fa) and archibald but i don't see panik and archi on Coyote roster right now. Where did they go?

Archiblad was originally a RFA, but didn't get a qualifying offer, so is now a UFA as well. Was a bit surprised he didn't get a qualifying offer, after having a breakthrough (12G 10A) season. Two solid options, if you can get them for reasonable price.
