Metro is a blood bath, with the exception of Columbus, all 7 teams should be competitive, and then Florida, Boston Tampa Montreal Toronto from the Atlantic. Are Carolina better than Montreal and/or Florida? Maybe, we'll see. It should be fun. Carolina have gotten a lot better than they were last year. That forward core is genuinely scary, not Tampa or Toronto scary, but it's really good. It's certainly better than it was last year, adding Haula was nice, and they have 2 1st round picks next year, or Toronto are really gonna have sh*t hit the fan and they have 2 1st rounders the following year. Either way, Carolina are in such a good position. One of the great prospect pools below them in Charlotte, one of the best teams at the draft. we'll see what happens but Canes fans have hope

If I was a Canes fan I would legit be happy about that offer sheet. Montreal did you a favour getting Aho to agree to those terms. Makes you wonder what low-ball offers were on the table from the Canes that forced Aho to think that offer sheet was the best deal he'd get...but, in many cases, an offer sheet can be a blessing in disguise.

I don't see Hayden Fleury getting more than Brock. But overall, I think we will compete for a top 3 in the Metro. I think WSH will start to fall off, and its gonna open up the top 3 spots.

Fleury got more term (3 vs 1). I’m guessing Brock gets a 1 @ 1.25-1.50 M contract thru arbitration.
