That aav is what Marner should be getting on 7 year term. If Dubas is going to 3 years it cannot cost more than 8aav.

i doubt marner gets a 7 or 8 year contract at this point.. on a 2-4yr contract, 8-10aav is what itll be, mines just an estimation.

reports are literally saying that the contract most likely will be between 2-4yrs maybe 5. It'll be hard to sign him to a 7yr contract for the money that Marner wants.

LOL, Dubas and the player agent always gets a contract were the player gets 1.5 million less than their asking price meanwhile Dubas sacrifices the long term deal and accepts a mid length deal.

So....Marner wants the Mathews contract, so he'll get 10-ish million dollars for a 3 or 5 year deal.

Dermott contract is very steep, I think the leafs lose Muzzin and keep Kapanen as they have 2 D who will likely be ready to make the jump in 2020-21. I feel like I say this on every thread, but if you actually hear an NHL GM value Marner at over 10 million I would be amazed. It is open that Marner's camp is leaking numbers and offer sheet potential to the media. if the leafs were offering a contract of that stature there would be no reason for Marner not to sign already. It is a deal equivalent to Matthews considering they are not buying out a UFA year.

The Leafs side report states he turn down a 80 million 8 year contract. So yes a NHL GM values Marner at 10 million. They will meet in the middle with a 9.3 million for 5 or 6 years.

yeah at max term, that isn't a realistic option for Marner, something he ruled out completely apparently. I was responding to your 10m for 3-5 years comment.

Nylander asks for 8.5 million gets 6.9
Marner asks for 11.6 million so the natural guess is Dubas will settle on 10ish

reports are that hes looking at somewhere between 2-4 years, more likely it being 2 than 4.
