Yeah, that's crazy. And if these rumours are true (and that's a big if) then I hear that Marner turned it down cause he's looking for that money on a short term deal. Bizzaro land.. like, this is all coming off as crazy.

If there's a GM out there that's silly enough to do this, then I say have it. Marner will never live up to that contract, and the team that's pays him that would be solely disappointed with the result, IMO. Meanwhile, the Leafs take those 4 firsts and cap space all the way to the bank and build something alot better than what they could with Marner at that hit.
