Stars have a lot of depth at left-handed defenseman so not sure they do this trade. And remember Hanzal LTIR salary cap space goes into effect first day of the season.

We have no need for Lindholm, giving up too much imo. Davidsson and Weissbach I can live with trading. Samuelsson isn't moving, he is the player we need on D. Giving up a 1st in a loaded draft is just plain senseless.

I like Samuelsson but the drafting of Ryan Johnson, with Laaksonen, Bryson, Fitzgerald, Borgen, etc makes him extremely expendable.

Plus you'd hope one day Samuelsson becomes good, versus Lindholm being good right now. I think the defense would be absolutely stacked with Lindholm and we can move some other prospects in the deal to move less total prospects around.

Perhaps Risto and a small plus can be swapped for Lindholm, or we include a prospect like Samuelsson/ another pick or prospect with Scandella. Ducks seem to be rebuilding.

Buffalo seems to not care about the draft with their pursuit of the playoffs don't ya think?

No. The draft is where winning teams get the majority of their players.
