Bergevin trades for James Neal, giving some cap relief for the Flames and hoping for a Tatar sorta come back. Plus, our group of forwards is pretty full.

Have no idea why Habs do Flames the Neal deal. That's a trade that requires a 1st on their end and no Juulsen from the Habs.

The concept of a "cap dump" is acquiring a bad contract with good assets with it, not acquiring bad contract and giving good assets !

MB didnt even take Tatar at a loss hoping for him to make good

its more of a return then WPG got for their cap dump of 1 year for Mason's buyout and gave up more to do it .

Neal doesn’t have value. The Flames just want to get rid of him. The difference between him and Tatar is that he didn’t just not fit in, but was too slow and ineffective doing anything in Calgary. He is also 4 years older than Tatar was. Neal is every bit as much done as Milan Lucic, Loui Eriksson, Dion Phaneuf, David Backes, and Karl Alzner are.
