PENS FANS - My top players to target and Players to Trade - PLEASE COMMENT

Created by: Sidstick87

Initial Creation Date: Jul. 9, 2019

Description
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This is our roster as of July 9th
- Went off of Cap prediction % charts for our RFA's and those are the probables of Petersson / Blueger / ZAR / A. Johnson
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

PLAYERS MOST LIKELY TO GET TRADED :

- J. Johnson #3 - I think 99.9% of us agree that JJ needs to be moved, he is NOT a good fit w/ Schultzy as a 2nd pairing guy.
* Need to find another Petersson (a young / cheap LHD)

- Rusty #17 - I love Rusty as a player too but he is the odd man out w/ his higher cap hit but it will be hard replacing him.

Goalie -
DeSmith #1- Proved himself to be a great back-up and is signed for 3 more yrs
Jarry #35 - He is prob the 1 to go but IMO- why trade the younger, cheaper, goalie w/ way more up-side??

- ZAR #46 - He is prob the guy that gets thrown into the JJ trade b/c Tanev is an upgrade to all ZAR did.

Keep them both. Have a very good 13th F in case of injury. Trade JJ and Gud and a backup goalie and get cap relief. Trade for a young D or two for picks. Beaulieu or Mete would be great. Or try for Klefbom but that would be Rust or Bjug plus

I have always liked Will Butcher since it was rumored he was interested in playing for Pittsburgh. I am unsure if NJD would be willing to move him, but Shero did draft a few current roster players so maybe not impossible. I can see McNabb doing well in a low-usage role here as well. I also really like Marchessault but he is worth a penny so we would have to do some more cap control to make it work, since Vegas can't really take much back. I think Virtanen can be had, but I don't really see him playing above a bottom 6 role so Idk if the cost would be worth it with the recently acquired Tanev. Palmieri is a Penguins killer, so any chance to get those guys on our side would be a good thing. Some of the others are longshots or would cost too much, but can definitely see a good portion of them having a positive effect on this team.

Yah, I mean alot of the guys will not be traded but was just listing players I thought could fit here.

Because Bjugstad is better suited as a winger anyways and really didn't fit well with the Pens last year. He could come out this year and be a different story but I`d rather have the cheaper, faster, big-time player that has contributed in Pitt for years now.

I actually agree with u that Bjugstad is a better winger and should def be on Geno's wing but He really surprised me how well he played C when here, especially when most of his time started in D-zone being the 3rd C. But look at Bjugstads analytics, He is a really really good player that kind of had a bad luck season w/ a low shooting %.
