There would need to be a roster player going back for the Philly trade to work from a cap stand point otherwise it could get done.

in my opinion, this exact team is 1 goalie away from being the best team in the NHL...

Don't think value is too far off. Add another 2nd if required

Value is good for Brodie, not the team.

Big pass from Buffalo. JB has shown that he doesn't covet draft picks as reciprocal value for established players based on him handing them out like candy to get said players. Jankowski and Ristolainen isn't close on it's own. There's a lot of better options out there for Buffalo. I'd be really upset if he made a trade this bad.

The problem is that only 25% of the 2nd round draft picks make it to the NHL then add in that the 2nd round pick of Calgary will be very late in the round so the odds would probably be lower than 25%.

I just do not see the Sabres moving Risto for a package that includes picks to make up for the risk in taking on a player who has one year left on his current deal then into RFA status and could put up only 14 goals and 32 points on a top scoring team in the league.

GMJB can do better with WPG or another team looking for a RD that scores 40+ points.

The Sabres are scoring challenged so why move a 40+ point D man for a player who scored 32 points and a couple of draft picks.

If you were the Sabres GM I really do not think you would consider the trade.
