i woulsn't give up much more than that for Laine. he's quite possibly the most one dimensional player in the NHL the last 20 years.

Well for that return, he will continue to be one-dimensional in Winnipeg.

Everyone wants to call Laine a "one trick pony" or something to that effect but they all want him on their team and they also want to acquire him for pennies on the dollar.

if the value is there, ofcourse I would want my team to acquire him, he's a fantastic shooter and my team needs goal scorers. but the metrics on how bad he is at literally everything else can't be ignored. it's not that anyone want's to call him a one trick pony, its that the empirical evidence clearly shows that he is.

And if we compiled the empirical evidence from this site it would show that everyone wants him for nothing.. Lol

what you consider "nothing" is subjective. what you really mean is, no body is throwing around trades that you see as fair value. the reason for that is because he's not a sure thing or a complete product like aho, marner and to a lesser extent Connor. at this point in time, I would give up more for Connor than I would for Laine.

I'd trade Connor before I'd trade Laine though I wouldn't trade either of them, I'd lock them down long term if possible.
