Description

Dsweens needs to trade Backes now that his $3M bonus has been paid leaving $5M in real money over the next 2yrs. Take the savings and sign the RFA's longterm. Defensive depth will continue to be tested with Injuries to Moore/Miller. Try Coyle at Power Forward on top line giving them a net front presence with good puck possession and 200ft game. Pasta should be able to gel with Krejci who is a pass first C. This could finally be the year Kuraly elevates if his playoff production continues to trend upward while manning 3C with responsible Heinen and plucky Kuhlman. Lindholm and Frederic should solidify 4C with stalwarts Nordstrom/Wagner. Not the sexiest lineup and Johansson will be sorely missed but serviceable none the less. Seems like they will cycle through prospects to see if any pop. If not, they can always move Coyle back to 3C and waste more capital on a rental to bolster the top 6.

Backes and the rights to Carlo for Cole and the rights to Kamenev.

You dump Backes who can play with EJ, who I believe he's good friends with, and Backes would maybe help the Avs as a third/fourth line veteran. Boston gets around 4 mil back on the cap dump to try and sign another player. Cole replaces Carlo 4 mil and gives the Bruins a veteran D to replace Miller & Moore once he's back from injury himself and he's more durable. Kamenev gives you a young, cheap centre/ wing to bring through.

It's a joke, but you can't blame a guy for trying!
