NYR
  1. 2021 2nd round pick (CHI)
CHI
  1. Strome, Ryan
NYR
  1. Turris, Kyle ($2,000,000 retained)
  2. Tolvanen, Eeli
  3. 2020 3rd round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
Both Turris and Shattenkirk have had terrible stints on their new teams and they both need a change of scenery. Nashville retains $2M because Turris contract is 3 years longer and they switch young forwards but by giving Nashville Buchnevich they get a winger who is ready to produce now while giving the Rangers Tolvanen who will take another year or two to be a top six winger
NSH
  1. Buchnevich, Pavel [RFA Rights]
  2. Shattenkirk, Kevin
  3. 2020 3rd round pick (DAL)
  4. 2021 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
By Acquiring Shattenkirik it takes some of the pressure off of Dante Fabbro to have to perform immediately.

If Shattenkirk gets 50 points 2nd will turn into a 3rd

You fix the Rangers cap situation but you dont help Nashville who will need to re-sign Josi, Smith and Granlund next year on top of raises of around 4 mill for Buch, another year of 6.5 mill of Shattenkirk and 2 mill retention on Turris, while losing an ELC player they could use. I dont see it for them

Completely agree. The preds trade turris to shed cap. This would only tie their hands more.

To be completely honest, I don't think the Rangers will be trading away Shattenkirk. Yah he has had a bad stint but that is because of his injury from 2 years ago. He will be 10 times better this year after he has a full summer of training instead of it being cut off like it was last year.
