NYR fan here - we would have to seriously consider that. I think the standard return for a Kreider is a first and possibly a prospect if there are competing offers. Hayes got a first and Lemieux, Trouba was a first and Pionk so Kreider is in that discussion. The price does go up if the Rangers allow him to talk to the acquiring team and agree to extension, but I wouldn’t get involved with that if it’s me. Take the first, try to get a prospect and move on.

However, you’re over the cap. A) how does Arizona exceed the cap?? And B) how do you get under it?

The usual; that 2nd is not ours, cannot do that os and Kreider says no I don't, unless of course it's MORE than his big asking price 7x7m @29! That's almost as bad as the Hayes deal.
