I don’t think Calgary trades Hanifin. Young on a great contract for long term. But Brodie is definitely available and could probably get him for cheap since Calgary needs some cap.

There needs to be a better piece from MTL side for Calgary to consider.

Very one sided.

Hanifin is very good, and on a very good contract. If the Flames are moving him out, they'll want similar value to what they gave up.

lol thats a 22yo top 4 dman with over 300 games of NHL experience. You think you can get someone like that with Lindgren and Kulak???

yeah, but his underlying numbers dont scream top pairing. i like hanifin, but idk if mtl would trade Lehkonen

I think the consensus around here is that Brodie is he's probably worth 2 x 2nd, or a 2nd + decent prospect.

I'd have to imagine that with his contract, Hanifin is worth slightly more than the Ducks got for Montour last year which was a 1st+NHL ready young dman. Maybe 1st+Juulsen+3rd? Though they're pretty deep defensively, so probably a forward instead.

Might be somewhat true, but that's exactly where you're putting him. He's easily a top 4, and has a great contract. They don't need to move him.
