Tolvanen needs to unleash its potential. Duchene and Granlund will help him for a while. Otherwise, Nashville just lost the 1st pick of 2017 for nothing.

Nashville is worse off with these deals. I will let one of either Smith or Granlund walk before all of this. Bonino I can deal with, or I could also do Bonino for Sheary, either way that works for me.

This may come as a surprise, but the Jackets really don't need goaltenders. We've kind of got, like, four really good youngsters already. One of those has been here for a while (Korpisalo), and two others are already in North America and will be pushing for the starter's job this coming year.

I agree that he needs to, but I don't think he's ready to. Doesn't seem like he's been outstanding in Milwaukee, and it sure does look like he's regressed in international play (take that with a grain of salt). Anyways, time to temper this kid's expectations. He's only 20.

Look in past drafts of player selected below the 20th pick. Its a crap shoot at that point to get talent that will contribute at the NHL level consistently. When you are selected in that range you shouldn't have any lofty expectations like a top 10 pick. If you've seen him play of Milwaukee you would see he is a lot better from a defensive stand point and started to break out a little at the AHL level at the end of the year after finally getting use to NHL size ice. He'll be up some time this year just not to start the season.
