Not sure Habs are the best fit for Letang tbh. I'm sure there's another team out there that would be willing to pay that price.

Not sure Petry is a downgrade on Letang.
If you consider their entire career, yes Letang over Petry any day
BUT right now, I would take Petry over Letang here's why:
Letang hasnt played a full 82 games since 2010-2011 (79 in 2017-2018 is the most hes played since), Petry is coming off 2 straight 82 game seasons (3 if you count the 80 games he played in 2016-2017)
Petry is amost 2 years younger than Letang
Cap hit is better with Petry
Comparing points, sure Letang has the edge, but he plays with an offensive juggernaut, Petry just doesn't (especially PP wise) . Letang has 107 in 144 gp and Petry has 88 in 164 gp.
