I don't see Yzerman making any big moves this offseason. I think he will spend the first half of the season evaluating what he has and we will probably see a lot of prospects shuffled in and out of the lineup for that reason. For arguments sake Backes coming to Detroit is a deal breaker. They have to many important players to sign next off season.

Because Kulman is not even a top prospect, Krug is aFA after this season and Backes is well a big cap dump. Mantha is young, cost controlled and a power forward.

This would be a horrible trade for Wings, they lose in every metric of this trade. Krug a a teade for Wings makes zero sense. Backes wouldndrain valuable cap dollars and would. Be helpful to. Division rival.

Mantha is pretty much untouchable Yzerman considers him one of our core pieces along with AA and others. Not moving Mantha for Krug period. Bad for both teams.
