McAvoy Bridge - Most likely

Created by: NICHILO14
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 9, 2019
Published: Aug. 9, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Moore will not start the season. I think once Moore comes back, Miller will be moved for a McQuaid type trade. With a few games under his belt, it will increase his trade value slightly. It does not look like Backes is going anywhere. Threaten to put him in Providence because I think he'd rather just be put on LTIR. Worst case is if he ends up in Providence so I'll roll with that. I also think the Bruins are the more reluctant party to dish out a max contract..they want a prove yourself type contract like Krug. When the contract expires he will still be an RFA. Boyle is just a possibility...

Which Krug deal are you talking about?
The 2 1 year deals? Because than McAvoy should be only 1 year too.

It’s only a little more than the 3.5 he would likely get

Let's play a game. You're GM Sweeney and I'm McAvoy

Present me your offer.

(seriously, anything under $6M just doesn't make sense but go ahead)

There is literally no explanation. Why this term, why this AAV especially, comparables

Not everyone pay $3,5M to a 21yo top-pairing D; a first one here wink

The term takes him to group 2, arb eligible. A good comparable would be subban, but subban had way more leverage and got less money
