NHL Network's Top 20 Wingers list had Marner at 5 and Draisaitl at 6. Who would you take and why?

Draisaitl just got over 100 points and neither of them are amazing defensive players, while neither struggle defensively, either, in my opinion ... Draisaitl scored a lot more goals though ... i know he played a lot with McDavid, but who was his other winger? I think it was Chiasson ... McDavid has made Draisaitl better, but Marner did play with Tavares, who isn't as good as McDavid, obviously, but is still a top 20 NHLer ... I just think that if you score 50 goals you have to be considered one of the best players in the league. And i believe he still got 70+ not playing with McDavid a few years ago, right?

Coin toss. Two different players. Both are products of their Centres they play with. Drais is a much better goal scorer and offensive threat. Marner is a passing specialist arguably best in NHL, while also having some better defensive stats than drais. I would say its a good rivalry

Marner - 68 assists
Draisaitl - 55 assists

Marner is the better passer, but it's not a HUGE difference, and Marner has a better goal scorer at centre ... however, maybe that partly has to do with having Marner over Draisaitl to pass you the puck ... i'd still say, for the reasons i mentioned, that Draisaitl is the better player.

Better passer than Kane? Or Kucherov?

Draisaitl, and not even close. 50G vs. 26G (I think). Marner also gets more favorable matchups b/c of TOR's depth up front. EDM's #1 line gets the top defensive matchup all the time. Both are incredible playmakers, but goals are def. worth more than assists. I think the rest of NHL Network's top 20 was pretty solid though. Kucherov, Kane, Ovi, and Marchand are def. top 4 right now.

I also think Draisaitl is better on special teams. Draisaitl scored 29 PPP on a bad team compared to Marner's 21 on an excellent team. And while both tallied 3 SHP, Draisiatl's were all goals.
